FR · About Operating principles United Kingdom

The team that assesses your exposure is the team that responds to it.

FaultReady Systems sits at the intersection of advisory and operations. No outsourced delivery, no junior bench, no rotating client managers. The work that gets billed is the work that gets done.

Capability over biography

Operating principles, not biography.

We do not publish staff bios, headshots or org charts. The people who matter to your engagement are the people who join the call. What we will tell you, in writing, before you commit: who is responsible for your work, what they have done before, and who covers them when they are not on the keyboard.

FaultReady is a UK-registered firm. We work under retained terms with a small number of organisations and individuals at any one time. We turn engagements away when we cannot resource them properly.

  1. One client team. The faces don't change between engagements, briefings or incidents.
  2. Plain reports. Calibrated severity. We do not inflate to justify retainers.
  3. Operational continuity. The work continues after the report is signed. Retainer or none.
  4. Confidentiality is the default. We accept no client whose engagement we would publish without permission.

How we work

Four operating modes, in order.

Most engagements start at assessment and pass through the next three. Some start under fire and we work the order in reverse.

  1. FR / 01 · Assess Map the exposure Quietly, without disturbing operations. We catalogue what you have, what you depend on and what an attacker would target first.
  2. FR / 02 · Design Specify the defence A short written brief: what changes, why, in what order, with the trade-offs named. No 200-page deck.
  3. FR / 03 · Operate Run it, or hand it over We run detection, response and reporting under retainer; or we train and equip your team to do it and step back.
  4. FR / 04 · Respond Take the call at three in the morning Containment, communications posture, evidence preservation, restoration. We take the operational decisions you should not be making while the building is on fire.
Operational logistics heritage

Built inside the wards before the firm advised the boardroom.

FaultReady began as an equipment fault-logging platform for NHS estates teams. QR codes on devices, faults flagged by ward staff, prioritised by estates, audit trail from report to fix. The lesson the platform taught us, that operational visibility decides whether risk becomes incident, is the lesson we now apply to cyber engagements.

The platform still runs. It is one capability among ten, and it remains the heritage piece in our portfolio: how we learned to keep critical operations visible from ward to estates.
